About this product
Coco Coir Block
Our triple-washed coir media is treated with a buffering process that adjusts the cation exchange capacity (CEC), replacing undesirable sodium and magnesium with calcium and potassium.
This certified organic coir growing medium is an ideal potting mix for many plants. Use it on its own or mix it with other growing media like peat moss and perlite. Made of 100% natural, sustainable coconut husk particles, it has a balanced pH and low salt content, and works as a soil amendment that improves your soil's physical and chemical properties.
The blocks are compressed and packed for efficient shipping and storage. Add water and watch them fluff up: coir absorbs and holds moisture for longer, which is a real cost saving for growers.
How to use
- Place the coir block in a container with plenty of room to expand.
- Gradually pour in warm water, letting it absorb without running off.
- Let it sit for 30–40 minutes, then break it apart by hand until light and spongy.
- Start planting.
